Chief Executive

 

 

Captain Murdo MacLeod is a Master Mariner with 22 years sea going experience of which 14 years were in command of container vessels, general cargo vessels, bulk carriers and passenger vessels.

He came ashore to work at Inverness Harbour in 1981 as a Marine Pilot, spending many years as Harbourmaster. He joined the Board in 2003 at the same time becoming the Trusts first Chief Executive.

 

Roderick

(Rod)

Michie 

 

 

 

Chairman

 

 

Roderick Michie has been a board member since 2003. A local businessman with extensive experience in the tourism industry, he is also a Director of Jacobite Cruises Ltd and a member of the British Waterways Scotland Group. He took over as Chairman of the Board in December 2008.

 

Thomas

Prag

 

 

Vice Chairman

 

Thomas Prag was appointed to the board in 2003. A local businessman and former Managing Director of Moray Firth Radio, he has extensive experience of the media and communications. He has been a councillor for Inverness South since May 2007 and sits on the Board of Governors of both UHI Millennium Institute and Eden Court Theatre.

 

Sandy

Catto

 

 

 

 

Sandy Catto has been a board member since 1994. A local businessman with interests in port services and property, he is Managing Director of Highland Haulage and Scotlog/Scotline Group and is a Director of Inverness Caledonian Thistle Football Club

 

Christopher

Fraser

 

 

 

Chris Fraser, a retired Chartered surveyor, worked in the Valuation Office Agency of the Inland Revenue and has been based primarily in Inverness for the last 33 years. Since taking early retirement he has served on a number of committees, with amongst others The Law Society and Cairn Housing Association. He was appointed to the Board in February 2009.

 

Graham

Stachan

 

 

 

 

Graham Strachan was appointed to the Board in 2008 after a career in economic development with The Highland Council and many years involved in social and community work. He is now a Director of the Great Glen Energy Co-operative which he helped set up in 2008.

 

Iain

Younger

 

 

  

Iain Younger is a management consultant with extensive international business experience, having held senior posts with Wickes Plc and International Distillers &Vinters (now Diageo). Based in Ardersier, he is currently on the Board of Eden Court and the Board of Management of Inverness College. Iain was appointed to the Board in February 2009.

 

Angus

Mackenzie

 

 

 

 

Angus Mackenzie joined the Board in February 2010. He was a partner in Ernst & Youngs Inverness office for many years. A partner, with his wife in Brin Nursery, they together set up Spoff(Scotland) Ltd, a company producing muesli and porridge. He is also a Board member of Highlands & Islands Enterprise and heads up their Audit committee.

Patrick

Harrison

 

 

  

 

 

 

Patrick Harrison was appointed to the board in February 2007. He is a ship owner and works in the shipping support sector in the North Sea oil and gas industry. He is also a director of three businesses involved with property and investment.

 

Ronnie

Dyce

 

 

  

 

 

 

Ronnie Dyce has been a board member since 1994. He is Operations Director of Highland Recycling Ltd, who operate from Inverness Harbour, providing warehousing, ship agency and stevedoring services.
