The current profiler will be housed in a stainless steel mooring frame equipped with sufficient ballast to ensure that it remains firm on the seabed under the influence of the tidal currents). The instrument will sit in the frame within approximately 0.6 m from the seabed. The diameter of the frame is 1.2 m.

The frame will be attached to a single ground line of approximately 100m leaded rope (final length depends on the water depth and the minimum amount will be used).
